This blog is for telling a big secret. Something amazing that is profoundly good, true, beautiful and exactly what our hearts have been yearning for.
The secret is the theology of the body. It was never meant to be secret, but it has still not been heard by the majority of our culture, although Saint John Paul II started talking about it 3 decades ago.
It’s actually more than good news. It’s GREAT news, at precisely a time when we had given up ever hearing great news again.
The theology of the body is a way of seeing things, a vision that touches every aspect of human life, especially the most tender. If you cotton to it, it will change you, and as a result, you will change the world.
I work with the Theology of the Body Evangelization Team (TOBET) in Irving, Texas, devoted to spreading this vision. I first encountered Pope John Paul’s addresses on the theology of the body while studying theology at the University of Dallas. I’ve been seeing the world through TOB lenses ever since.
